Closed Internet

…No one — whether government or corporate — should control free open access to the Internet,” says FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler.

It is a blatant lie however. The last time I checked the Federal Communications Commission was an independent agency of the United States government. Furthermore the FCC exists to regulate communications by radio, television, wire, satellite, and cable. Now however you can add the internet. Just so we are on the same page, regulate means:

vt reg·u·late\ˈreg-yə-ˌlāt\
reg·u·lat·edreg·u·lat·ing
1
:  to control or direct according to rule or law <regulate the testing of experimental drugs>
2
:  to fix or adjust the time, amount, degree, or rate of
reg·u·la·to·ry\-lə-ˌtōr-ē, –ˌtr-\adjective
So there, no one except the US government or rather the FCC should be able to control the internet–that is wrong. It is doublespeak.
Any edict, which is what this is anyways, coming from the FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler should be looked as suspect. The man is a former lobbyist for telecom companies–cable and wireless. He is also a major campaign contributor to Barack Obama giving $38,500 from 2008-2011. It is already been stated that the only reason that this is taking place is because, “Obama told us to do so.”
So let us get this straight:
  • The FCC will control (regulate) the internet.
  • No one from the public or Congress was allowed to read the regulations.
  • FCC did this because Barack Obama told them to do it.
  • FCC Chairman, Tom Wheeler, a former telecom lobbyist, Obama contributor enacted this.

This is supposed to be great? I think this may force people to get licenses to operate websites, tax per website, megabyte, or gigabyte–maybe all these.

Closed internet–lest you are taxed and pay the tax.

Radiation…it’s here.

I think people are downplaying radiation popping up around the USA and other parts of the world. – dmotion, 27 March 2011

The time for downplaying is over. This is a disaster getting worse. There is snow in Missouri with double the radiation and in San Francisco a beach with five times the normal radiation.

You have Japan sending in homeless people on basically what I consider a suicide mission to ‘clean up’ the spill. Not to mention steam rising from reactor 3 and its origin yet unknown.

There is no sense of alert or urgency in the international community or outrage for the obvious misleading of the radiation levels.

Then there’s the crew of USS Ronald Reagan which

…sailed straight into a plume of radioactivity, which entered the ship’s water supply. Crew members washed, brushed their teeth and drank potentially contaminated water. […] active duty and former sailors are suffering from cancer, blindness, impotence, and fatigue as a result of the radiation exposure.

At what point is the international community going to wake up and see that this disaster is trying to be swept underneath the rug?

You also have certain inauspicious movements by The Department of Health and Human Services in the US ordering 14 million doses of potassium iodide to be delivered in the beginning of February 2014.

All of these things are a harbinger–of a horrible situation that can be that much less horrible if dealt with now and not when all there is to do is hope.

Facebook Intergration & Google +

I don’t like it. Facebook Intergration is great but there are so many cons I believe.

First and foremost I don’t like that Facebook is being all pushed around like an OpenID–a passport of sorts.

I like sharing events and items of everyday life as much as anyone. However not to the point where Facebook is or is going. I think it’s mind numbing.

Google + with using only full ‘real’ names is bizzare I think. I know we have LinkedIN and Facebook using real names–Twitter too. However as long as I can think of we’ve always had our handles and those whom have chosen to use their full names have and at times retain their handles alongside or just their handles.

It seems almost un-internet-like to require all this verfication.

This is the internet right? Or is this truly the open web?

Music Industry Wants $75 Trillion

This just proved once again that I was right four years ago.

The music industry is insane. No one should listen to them.

They want anywhere in the range of $400 billion to $75 trillion

But Washington, D.C. has. So has Barack Obama–especially him.

His Copyright Czar  (oh, so illegal I may add) running around along with Homeland Security and ICE shutting down and seizing domains left and right.

Even explaining  why Google hasn’t been seized.

All in the name of copyright. All because of the MPAA and RIAA.

Madonn.

Mars is Green?

So I haven’t written anything in almost a year.

Now Mars is Green?

Yeah.  Mars is Green and dmotion is The Green Face.

Almost six years ago I was just dmotion: Investigating, and Then Commanding–now: Mars is Green: Sage Oversight is Renaissance.

It’s taken me almost six years to decide on a domain name and actually go ahead with it. (Among other things.)

The name–the statement: Mars is Green is what this is.

Mars–in Roman mythology (Ares in Greek) is the God of War and an agricultural guardian. Both which require oversight–sage oversight.

Green is associated with rebirth–renaissance…

This is my rebirth per se…

My rekindling of this site.

(Also Spike Spiegel is from Mars. I like Mars. I like green and I like stuff being green. Had to make it work.)

Green Back…

So I haven’t posted here in almost a year…

I’ve had a lot happen to me in the last two years–much which I haven’t documented or commented online.

Just haven’t been able to

I’ve been very invisible for the last two and half years. It seems much less to me yet it isn’t–it has been two years and a half.

I changed jobs 3 times. Got laid off twice. Moved 4 times and in the process of moving again.

Lost all of my computer files. Computer died on me.

It has truly been very green for me.

Unfortunate it has been as I truly enjoy posting, commenting, etc.

More unfortunate however my occurrences.

So Green is back…at least more than he was before.

The Pirate Bay

From one day to the next it goes from being aganist the grain to mainstream…

Oh, PirateBay that I used to know where art thou?
