Radio and Podcasts

My fascination for radio and the medium as a whole is almost as expanse as my newspaper/magazine reading. I started listening when I was 7 years old.

I usually listen and read so many things to the point of overload.

Radio stations I usually listen to:

570 WTNT (defunct)

820AM The Gamut

740AM Zoomer Radio

770AM WABC

1180AM WHAM

1030AM WBZ

88.5FM WMAU

88.3FM WBGO

100.3FM WBIG

Radio shows I oftentimes listen(ed) to:

Matt Drudge: The Drudge Report (defunct)

Truckin’ Bozo

Coast to Coast AM

The Sean Hannity Show

The Savage Nation

Ground Zero

Mark Levin

Shortwave:

When I was younger and in school I’d get home and listen to the shortwave/am and listen till I went to sleep at 10pm or 11pm. This was way back when the internet was not ubiquitous and I didn’t even have a computer at home.

I’d sit and try to pick up whatever I could. I became fascinated with the curious pop up stations that repeated numbers in Spanish and Russian as well as other languages. The aptly named: Number stations.

This scanning of stations instilled the desire to learn languages as I desired to understand what I heard over the various stations on shortwave.

I still carry my shortwave radio and people ask me all the time what I’m doing as I shift around to obtain reception. I enjoy the conversations that come due to my radio listening.

Hebrew and Egyptian Gematria; Space Docker and Mural Observations

This came to me due to seeing the background of this TED talk about 32 common symbols on caves:

My first thought was actually, “Is this a TED talk about Mount Chiliad? Geez, its finally come to this–oh, wait.”

MountChiliadMystery-GTAV-WallMarking

Going off what the game states, the answer is right in front of us:

m5zxdzc

I remembered of how I have always thought the alleged ‘jetpack man’ on the Chiliad mural:

always looked like the Hebrew letter ‘gimel’:

Which then reminded me about Hebrew gematria and Hebrew Otiot.

Which led to some curious observations.

Gimel’s gamtria is the number 3. Which reminds me of the three playable characters. Its otiot is a person in motion–a poor man running and it also means camel. Its root means to give, to deal or to wean. Justified Repayment. To give either reward or punishment.

Which of course reminds me of Michael have to repay some money. That they had to run–put him in witness protection, etc.

So seeing that I looked at the ‘UFO’

and thought of the hand of Hamsa:

800px-khamsa

which means that “humans cannot escape from the eye of conscience” which reminds me of Trevor. Also interesting usage of hamsa is the fifth day of the week, “Thursday is considered a good day for magic rites and pilgrimages.” Which I thought may indicate that yoga or Epsilon robes should be attempted on Thursday?

I thought of the ‘egg’:

of “He is risen” the sunrise, etc.

It reminded me of Khepri:

khepri-2

God of rebirth and the sunrise. Associated with the Scarab beetle–the dung beetle:

110115_sm_dung-beetle_free

that navigates via the milky way.

I thought of the Space docker which is a dune buggy

SpaceDocker-Front-GTAV

and how the Egyptians thought the eggs of the beetle came into being out of nothing. Possibly take the Space Docker on a Thursday?

I also recalled the Hebrew pictographs:

hebrewpictographchart

when I saw the glyph on the Space Docker:

zonczxg

If I’m not mistaken it reads (from right to left):

Pey, Pey, Lamed, Tzadiel, Khaf, Hey, Pey, Dalet Pey

17, 4, 17, 5, 20, 90, 30, 17, 17

Remember every letter is a number and has a mystery:

Here’s more about Hebrew letters as numbers.

I thought of the ‘x’ on the mural (which could be the Hebrew letter) and thought of Teth which reveals both good and evil, a man in rebellion or a man in surrender. Teth represents the Number 9 and also 15.

So could the answer, instructions or more clues come in this form.

Am I seeing what I want to see or is this viable?

Can it be Pareidolia because I know Hebrew letters and I am making it work?

I hope this is something or triggers someone’s mind to a solution, etc.

Closed Internet

…No one — whether government or corporate — should control free open access to the Internet,” says FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler.

It is a blatant lie however. The last time I checked the Federal Communications Commission was an independent agency of the United States government. Furthermore the FCC exists to regulate communications by radio, television, wire, satellite, and cable. Now however you can add the internet. Just so we are on the same page, regulate means:

vt reg·u·late\ˈreg-yə-ˌlāt\
reg·u·lat·edreg·u·lat·ing
1
:  to control or direct according to rule or law <regulate the testing of experimental drugs>
2
:  to fix or adjust the time, amount, degree, or rate of
reg·u·la·to·ry\-lə-ˌtōr-ē, –ˌtr-\adjective
So there, no one except the US government or rather the FCC should be able to control the internet–that is wrong. It is doublespeak.
Any edict, which is what this is anyways, coming from the FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler should be looked as suspect. The man is a former lobbyist for telecom companies–cable and wireless. He is also a major campaign contributor to Barack Obama giving $38,500 from 2008-2011. It is already been stated that the only reason that this is taking place is because, “Obama told us to do so.”
So let us get this straight:
  • The FCC will control (regulate) the internet.
  • No one from the public or Congress was allowed to read the regulations.
  • FCC did this because Barack Obama told them to do it.
  • FCC Chairman, Tom Wheeler, a former telecom lobbyist, Obama contributor enacted this.

This is supposed to be great? I think this may force people to get licenses to operate websites, tax per website, megabyte, or gigabyte–maybe all these.

Closed internet–lest you are taxed and pay the tax.

Playstation 4 and 4 Steps back…

So I just found out that the Playstation 4 won’t have  DLNA support; which I’ve been using on the Xbox 360 with my Samsung Note 2 frequently (I haven’t touched my Playstation 3 since January). No MP3 support, no CD playback support and out of the box won’t support Blu-Ray playback, multiplayer as well as all the other features touted for this ‘next-gen’ console till you download a 300mb patch…?!  Oh and apparently no external drive support. Even the Xbox 360 recently gave in towards this!

Seriously this is something that I could have seen Microsoft do, pull back and fix it. Sony just made their console ‘next-gen’ as in for the other generation that wasn’t born when the Playstation 3 was released.

At $399 I expect this thing to be plugged in and do what it is touted to do and to improve on the features from its predecessors not get rid of them. I was leaning on purchasing a Playstation 4 in late 2014. …Whenever game publishers stop publishing on Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 or I finish play my game queue, which ever comes first.

But with this development I’m not sure. True it’ll be almost a year till I pull the trigger on the either an Xbox One or Playstation 4 but it’s looking like I’ll know pretty soon where I’ll lean to.

Dexter–The End?

Hopefully at this point I’m not spoiling “Dexter” for anyone, but I may, so be forewarned.

“Dexter” should have ended ages ago or it should have been taken to where it was taken this final episode(?).

Things were tied off hastily and other things dangling in the air.

At the end I actually wanted more.

“Dexter” has gone from predictable–surprising and inexplicable…and that was just this final season. This includes Dexter Morgan & Co.

There were other more interesting ways I imagined this could have been ended(?) including Dexter Morgan dying and/or doing himself in because he had broken his (father’s) code.

However this alternate alternate, etc. life was given. Frankly when I first began watching I assumed that sooner or later that he’d have to reinvent himself and move on. Unfortunately other commitments and  his realization or acquiring of  empathy for loved ones made it very difficult for him to do so. That is  untill those very things that prevented him from doing so made him eventually do it.

I found it interesting that Showtime stated that they did not want Dexter Morgan to die and that is what leads me to believe that to believe that possibly they may explore Dexter Morgan at a future time. Or possibly they’re trying to end on the note of “The Sopranos” did with their non-ending, leave it up to the viewer, etc.

Looking back the word I like to use is that some seasons were whimsical and at times slightly disappointing.  The reason I say this is that the show began to show more and more Dexter Morgan & Co. and some episode were just his company with a little Dexter Morgan because well he happens to be there and we need to establish surroundings. That’s fine, but when you deal with Dexter Morgan & Co. it would be best to tie all the ends of Dexter Morgan & Co. and not just of Dexter Morgan with some of the ends directly tied to Dexter being tied.

All in all it was ride–a very good one that’ll will keep you watching till the end…?

Dexter… The End

All I can say is wow and it’s about time.

Dexter should have ended a long time ago but its ending now and wow.

It was a very fast paced Dexter the first episode and it was all over the place. Dexter’s worst place to be in has finally happened again. Someone at first glance is aware of who he is. He’s half in control and half out of control.

More good questions have arisen and that has placed the intrigue level high to see what will occur.

I am excited and relieved that it’s ending.

TV Mobile Apps

I haven’t had a cable subscription in almost two years. These shams of being able to watch live TV but you have to provide your cable subscription credentials are trash. When a cable company or even a premium channel company like HBO gives the ability to be able to use these apps via an ‘a la carte purchase then you can make announcements about these apps. Right now they’re about as useful as trash–only to be thrown away.

What more proof is needed than Netflix or even for that matter Hulu and Amazon Video for their viability?

This is what media companies should be complaining about. Their lack of progress–their ingenuity and not ‘piracy‘…

Stop making content so tied up. Cable TV subscription is an archaic form of DRM. The last frontier. Once this barrier is broken companies will see so much improvement.
