I remember reading a long time ago in an article in Pop Sci about exchanging money earned in Second Life, the Massively Multiplayer Online Games (MMOG) for actual money–like there is an exchange rate. I wasn’t that surprised but it peeked my interest and I looked into Second Life as an easy way to strike some cash for playing video games and getting paid and whatever. Some of my friends were hooked and so I was curious about it. I then came across this article in Wired News detailing just that and more. How it has now become as a tool for making implications for other things non-virtual. But really I had known and heard about it from friends and reading the article has once again peaked my interest yet again into joining. I don’t know.
