Nice little list from Business Week about running a meeting like Google.
It’s all fine and well but My question is why is this on a Yahoo ‘site’…
I recently began using Google Notebook and I have found it to be really nifty to say the least. I’ve been experimenting with it and it’s a pretty cool concept. You can check out my notebook or you can go to Google Notebook and start your own.
At least in Japan in Honda cars apparently according to Engadget. The article also states that Volkswagen might get into the act too but Honda might beat them. Wow. So um this Car is going to have Google Earth that “will interface with the existing navigation service, adding high-resolution satellite images of cities to current traffic information downloaded via the car’s wireless internet connection.” Um, sign me up for that one. Expect to see lots of hacks for that car or maybe not. Who knows. Driving internet connection. What next right a Google Car? Heh. Just joking.
Wow. This is hilarious. You can never tell on April’s Fool. Wow. “People’s Republic of China has acquired a controlling stake in the United States’ fastest growing technology company, Google.” A “Class B stock was purchased today a corporate entity owned by the Chinese Ministry of Information.”
I agree with Chrono Tron when he states: “Googleblog was NOT down to deletion of the blog by one of their own bloggers.” Why? Well, I don’t know if anyone recalls the incident when all of Google went down for the count and they said it was due to the installation of new software that caused the downage. Yet many believe–or more like speculate that it was due to the Google Web Accelerator and its unprecedented suck of bandwidth from the Google Servers. So yeah I can see why Googleblog might be lying. The question with both of these things is why?
In the UK certain companies are banning employees from installing Google Desktop on company computers due to the fear that it might leak coporate data and stuff. Well if they fear that then why in the world is the IT department of these companies allowing employees to install software in the first place. True, it is the enterprise version of the software but yet if is has had this concern why did they install it in the first place? They’ve said, “Google has crossed the line from Desktop as a personal search engine to being a tool that can be used to exploit security weaknesses. The sending of data back to the servers only confirms the security risk.” If they knew this then why did they do it? They shouldn’t blame Google for their ingenuity they should be complaining that they have a risk–they are the ones with the risk–so fix it on your end and stop banning Google. I’m I looking it the wrong way? I don’t know.
